The huge cost of F-22s is a source of criticism and some believe employing a variety of producers contributed to the unsustainable price tag. Additionally, they developed the aft fuselage, avionics integration and several electronic systems such as life support and fire protection and a number of training systems. Maloney was a member of the 27th Fighter Squadron during World War II and he was the Squadron’s highest scoring Ace at the time. Air Force honors the brave men who have held their positions before them. The story behind why is a testament to the way the U.S. Within the 27th Fighter Squadron, one Raptor has an interesting insignia adorned on its fuselage.
